S-Series drives require two sinusoidal command signals that are 120 degrees apart. These signals control the commutation and torque to the motor. Controllers require specialized commutation algorithms for proper operation. Verify that your controller is compatible with this type of control.

Motors
Brushless, Brush, Linear, Voice Coil, Inductive Load
Command
Two sinusoidal command signals that are 120 degrees out of phase.
Mode
Since the controller has direct control of commutation, there are no loops for the drive to close. Therefore there are no modes. These drives close the current loop, but this doesn't directly correspond to torque mode since the controller controls the torque angle.
Feedback
All feedback goes to the controller, not the drive - including commutation feedback such as Hall sensors. This means all sorts of standard and proprietary feedback can be used as long as your controller is compatible.
