Regulatory Compliance
Our commitment to safety and sustainability is reflected in our adherence to:
RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances)

In place since 2006 to limit the use of harmful substances in our products.
REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals)

Adopted in 2015 to ensure the responsible use of chemicals in our production process.
100% Green Energy and Smarter Energy Use
On sunny days the AMC factory floor can operate with overhead lights turned off.
Natural Lighting
Our manufacturing building, completed in 2001, features skylights that allow us to turn off lights after 9 a.m. and rely entirely on daylight for illumination.
LED Lighting Conversion
In 2017, we converted our facility to 100% LED lighting, dramatically reducing energy usage.
Seasonal Adjustments
During summer, we operate on an early-start schedule to avoid peak energy demand and reduce our AC load. In winter, we ensure all manufacturing floor lights are turned off within 15 minutes of production ending.
Our Products: Efficiency in Every Design
At the heart of our green efforts are our high-efficiency servo drives, which empower our customers to create more energy-efficient systems:
Exceptional Efficiency
On their own, our servo drives operate at over 95% efficiency (typical is >98% efficient). On a system level, servo systems achieve 85-90% efficiency compared to hydraulic systems (80-90% efficient), stepper systems (65-80% efficient) and VFD system (80-90% efficient).

Customized Solutions
We design optimized, user-focused products that eliminate unnecessary features and materials, enhancing both performance and sustainability.

Grid-Friendly Power Supplies
Our PFC (Power Factor Correction) power supplies boost grid energy efficiency.
Miniaturization
Smaller, lighter designs not only save materials but also improve integration into machines and enhance the efficiency of mobile systems.
Reducing Waste: A Core Commitment
Minimizing waste is a top priority in every aspect of our business. Here are just a few examples of how we're making a difference:
- Reusable Product Trays
For plug-in servo drives, we use reusable trays that serve dual purposes during production and shipping. Customers often reuse these trays for their own needs, reducing the demand for disposable materials like bubble wrap or Instapack foam.
- Custom Antistatic Foam
For larger products, we collaborate with customers to eliminate wasteful materials in favor of custom antistatic foam inserts, which are cleaner and more efficient.
- Efficient Soldering
Our latest wave soldering machine uses solder flux more efficiently, minimizing contaminants and solder dross.
- Packaging Reuse:
When returning customer-supplied goods, we save and reuse original packaging materials, such as boxes and clamshells.
Looking Ahead: Solar Parking Lots
We've explored adding solar panels to our parking lots. While this project is currently under evaluation, we remain committed to implementing it when it becomes economically viable.
Green Practices That Make Sense
Whether it's reusing ESD bags or carefully considering the power efficiency of new equipment, we approach sustainability with practicality and purpose. Our efforts not only reduce our carbon footprint but also save costs and improve efficiency.
By taking actionable steps toward sustainability, ADVANCED Motion Controls demonstrates that being a green company is not just an initiative-it's a mindset. Together with our partners, we're creating innovative solutions that benefit the planet and our customers.
