What is a Servo Drive?

Servomechanisms are automated control systems used in everything from CNC machines, robotics, warehouse automation and more. Closed loop systems with servo drives offer more reliability and precision in motion applications than open loop systems. What is a Servo Drive?

Motion Control Overview

Servo control, which is also referred to as "motion control" or "robotics" is used in industrial processes to move a specific load in a controlled fashion. These systems can use either pneumatic, hydraulic, or electromechanical actuation technology. History of Motion Control

It's generally agreed that the beginning of the industrial revolution started around 1760. Of course this depends on which reference is used. Ultimately, the drive to automate repetitive tasks started about when humans did. The "end" of the industrial revolution supposedly occurred about 100 years ago, though looking around today it hardly seems over.
