Mounting cards are designed to hold PCB Mount servo drives for prototyping. Plug-in drives are intended to be mounted directly to the PCB; however, in the prototype stage an off-the-shelf mounting card can greatly facilitate the system design process. Refer to the servo drive data sheet to determine the correct mounting card for your drive.
Mounting cards simplify connection to the controller, motor and feedback and allow system designers to experiment with different drive configurations and to run their machine before their custom PCB has been delivered.
These boards aren’t just for prototyping – we see plenty of applications where mounting cards are used in production machines.
